OUR FIRM

Lisa Browning, Esq. is a collaboratively trained attorney as well as a trained mediator who has been practicing family law for over seventeen years. Her goal is to help people through one of the most difficult times of their lives,

with kindness, compassion, and expertise.

Ms. Browning has been practicing since 2005 and her primary practice has always included all aspects of Matrimonial Law. Lisa obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Rutgers School of Law – Newark and holds a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution, which she obtained there. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jessica R. Mayer, Family Part Judge, Superior Court Middlesex County, who now sits on the NJ Appellate Division.

 

Lisa is a member of the Hunterdon County Family Practice Committee as well as the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators and serves as a Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren County Early Settlement Panelist. She is trained as a collaborative lawyer as well as a mediator in the State of New Jersey. 

Lisa is active in the New Jersey legal community and currently serves as President Elect of the Hunterdon County Bar Association. She also serves as Recording Secretary for the New Jersey Collaborative Law Group. Lisa practices in Hunterdon, Middlesex, Mercer, Monmouth, Somerset, and Warren counties. Prior to starting her own law firm, Lisa worked for other local firms assisting clients with divorce, divorce mediation, and all other areas of family law practice. She also serves as Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Wynnefield at Somerset Home Owner's Association and she is President of the Greenbrook Elementary School PTO Board. Prior to law school, she received her B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University.
