About Lisa Browning, Esq.
Lisa Browning, Esq. is a collaboratively trained divorce attorney and mediator with over nineteen years of experience in family law. Her goal is to help clients navigate one of the most challenging times in their lives with kindness, compassion, and expertise. Lisa has been practicing since 2005, focusing primarily on all aspects of divorce and matrimonial law. She earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law – Newark, where she also obtained a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She began her career as a law clerk for the Honorable Jessica R. Mayer, Family Part Judge, Superior Court Middlesex County, who now sits on the NJ Appellate Division.
Lisa is actively involved in the legal community. She is a member of the Hunterdon County Family Practice Committee and the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators. She also serves as a Hunterdon, Somerset, and Warren County Early Settlement Panelist. As a collaboratively trained lawyer and mediator in New Jersey, Lisa is dedicated to resolving family law matters outside of court.
Currently, Lisa serves as President of the Hunterdon County Bar Association and Recording Secretary for the New Jersey Collaborative Law Group. She is also a member of the Mid-Jersey collaborative Law Alliance. Before starting her own firm, she worked with a number of local law firms, assisting clients with divorce, mediation, and other family law matters.
In addition to her legal work, Lisa is President of the Greenbrook Elementary School PTO Board. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University.
